Create your account and workspace
A workspace is the container for every board, roadmap and changelog you publish. Most companies need exactly one; agencies running feedback for clients usually create one workspace per client.
- 1Sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. With email, enter the verification code Looph sends you.
- 2Under Create your workspace, enter your company or product name. Customers see this name.
- 3Choose the workspace URL. It becomes your public feedback address, such as acme.looph.ing, and can be served from a custom domain later on Growth or Business.
- 4Choose Create workspace. You land in the admin area, where the setup guide lists the next steps.
Publish your first board
A new workspace starts with no boards, so the setup guide's first step is to create one. One-click board templates are coming soon; for now you name the board and choose a few settings, and it is live as soon as you create it.
- 1Open Admin, then Boards, and choose New board.
- 2Name it after what customers should post there, such as Feature requests, and check the URL slug.
- 3Set Visibility to Public so anyone with the link can view and vote, or Private for a board only your team and an allowlist can see. Private boards start on Starter.
- 4Leave Who can post, Who can vote and Who can comment on anyone who can view the board, unless you want to limit them.
- 5Choose Create.
Make it yours
In Settings, then General, add your logo and primary colour, and choose whether public pages use a light or dark theme or follow the visitor's system setting. Customers trust a board that looks like part of your product.
Invite the whole team
Members are free and unlimited on every plan, including Free, so there is no reason to ration access. Invite support, sales, customer success and engineering on day one — the people closest to customers are the ones who capture the best feedback. Only owners and admins take an admin seat, and Free includes 2.
Invite people from Settings, then Members, as a Member or an Admin. The workspace owner decides in the Roles tab what each role can do, such as whether members can change a post's status.
Collect your first post
Write the first post yourself so the board is not empty, then share the board's link in your product, your onboarding emails and your support macros. Customers sign in with email or Google to post and vote.
You can also embed a read-only copy of the board, roadmap or changelog in your own site; voting from the embed opens your board in a new tab. Your team can file requests from any web page with the Chrome extension. An in-product widget for collecting feedback is coming soon.
Once posts start landing, work the board daily for the first two weeks. Early responses set the expectation that submitting feedback is worth the effort.
What Free covers, and when to upgrade
Everything on this page except a private board works on the Free plan, which includes: unlimited members; 2 admin seats; 1 public board; 100 tracked voters; public roadmap and changelog; slack and Discord notifications; chrome extension; 7-day audit log; community support. Every new workspace can try every Business feature free for 14 days, no credit card required: the owner starts the trial from Billing when the team is ready.
Teams usually move to Starter ($19/mo, or $190/yr billed yearly) when they need more boards or a private one, more than 100 tracked voters, automations, Jira or GitHub, or the API. It adds: 3 admin seats; 3 public + 1 private board; 1,000 tracked voters; 3 automation rules; CSV import; gitHub, Jira and Zapier integrations; make, Pabbly, SureTriggers and Integrately integrations; API, MCP and outgoing webhooks; weekly digest email; 30-day audit log; email support. Growth ($59/mo, or $590/yr billed yearly) adds: 10 admin seats; 10 public + 5 private boards; 10,000 tracked voters; 25 automation rules; custom domain (CNAME); remove Looph branding; allowed sign-up email domains; rewards and bounties; daily and weekly digests; 90-day audit log; priority email support. Business ($179/mo, or $1,790/yr billed yearly) adds: unlimited admin seats; unlimited public and private boards; unlimited tracked voters; unlimited automation rules; admin IP allowlist; 365-day audit log; dedicated Slack channel and SLA; onboarding and migration assistance. Members stay free on every plan; what an upgrade buys is features, admin seats, boards and tracked voters.
Your first week on the board
The first week sets expectations, so it is worth more attention than the setup itself. Answer every new post within a working day or two, even if the answer is that it is under review; a request that gets a reply is the strongest signal to the next customer that posting is worth it.
By the end of the week, move at least one request to Planned and, if you can, ship something small that a customer asked for and announce it in the changelog. Customers believe a board is real once they see a request move, not when they read that it will.
