   Export from your current tool

   Export your posts as a CSV from your current tool. Canny, Frill and Nolt each document a CSV or spreadsheet export; any spreadsheet with a title per row works too.

   Shape the file

   Keep three columns: title (3 to 200 characters), details and status. Map each old status onto one of Looph's: Open, Under review, Planned, In progress, Complete, Closed or Rejected. You can rename those labels afterwards, so Complete can read Shipped.

   Import into a board

   In the team area, choose the board and upload the file. Each import takes up to 2,000 rows, and the posts are created under the name of the teammate who runs it. Split a larger export into several files, one per board if you are splitting boards. CSV import is on Starter and above, and on every new workspace during its 14-day Business trial.

   Tell your voters where to go

   Votes and comments stay behind, so post a note on the old board and email its most active voters a link to the new one. Each person votes again with their own account, which rebuilds the ranking from people who still care.

   Run both, then switch over

   Keep the old board read-only for a couple of weeks while votes build up on Looph, point the links in your product and help centre at the new board, then cancel the old tool.
