What you will be able to do with Google Workspace

Coming soon. The Google Workspace integration is not available yet; this page describes how it is planned to work and what you can use in the meantime.

01Today, anyone on your team can sign in to Looph with their Google account instead of keeping a separate password.
02Coming soon, a Google Workspace admin will be able to add Looph as a custom SAML app, so access follows the accounts you manage.
03Customers sign in to your board with their own account, by email and password or with Google; signing them in from your own app is coming soon.

What you can do today

Signing in with a Google account works today for your team and your customers. These steps get your team onto it.

1Invite each teammate from Settings, then Members, using their Google Workspace address, with the narrowest role that fits: member, admin or owner.
2Each teammate accepts the invitation and chooses to continue with Google, so Looph uses their Google account rather than a separate password.
3When someone leaves, remove them under Settings, then Members; suspending their Google account alone does not remove them from the workspace.

How it will work

Team SAML sign-in is coming soon, so the SAML setup on this page can't be done today. Signing in with Google already works for everyone, team members and customers alike, through Looph's standard sign-in.

No Looph plan includes single sign-on today, over SAML or OAuth / OIDC; don't choose a plan on the strength of it.

SCIM provisioning is also coming soon and is not on any plan yet. Google's guide to custom SAML apps covers sign-in and attribute mapping but doesn't describe automatic account provisioning for them, so plan on invitations to create accounts.

Members are free on every plan, so letting everyone on the domain in as a member costs nothing; roles decide what they can do once they're inside.

Setting up Google Workspace: what to expect

1SAML SSO is coming soon and is not on any Looph plan yet.
2Once it launches, the workspace owner will handle the Looph side.
3A Google Workspace super administrator will add Looph as a custom SAML app in the Admin console, under Apps, then Web and mobile apps.
4You will copy Google's identity provider details into Looph, enter Looph's ACS URL and entity ID in Google, and turn the app on for the people who need Looph.
