What you will be able to do with Okta

Coming soon. The Okta integration is not available yet; this page describes how it is planned to work and what you can use in the meantime.

01Workspace members will sign in to Looph through Okta using SAML, so access to triage, boards and settings follows the identity your IT team already manages.
02With SCIM provisioning, Okta will be able to create, update and deactivate member accounts, so someone who leaves loses Looph access when their Okta account goes.
03Today, team members sign in with an email and password or with Google, with two-factor options, and Looph's three roles — owner, admin and member — decide who can change statuses, manage boards and change settings.

What you can do today

Until SAML arrives, team access runs on Looph's own accounts and roles. These steps keep it tidy without Okta.

1Invite each teammate from Settings, then Members, with the narrowest role that fits: member, admin or owner.
2Ask everyone to sign in with Google, or with an email and password, and to turn on two-factor in their profile.
3When someone leaves, remove them under Settings, then Members, at the same time as you deactivate them in Okta.

How it will work

Team SAML sign-in is coming soon. Looph's security settings show it as Coming soon, so nothing on this page can be set up today.

This integration is for your team, not your customers. No Looph plan includes single sign-on, SAML or SCIM today; team members sign in with email or Google on every plan.

Customers who vote sign in to your board with their own Looph account, by email and password or with Google. Okta isn't involved, and signing customers in from your own app is coming soon.

Members are free on every plan, so bringing every Okta-managed employee into Looph as a member adds nothing to the bill; only owners and admins take an admin seat.

Setup

Setting up Okta: what to expect

1SAML SSO and SCIM are coming soon and are not on any Looph plan yet.
2Once it launches, the workspace owner will set up the Looph side.
3In Okta's Admin Console, you will create a SAML 2.0 app integration and enter Looph's details.
4If you want Okta to manage accounts, you will turn on provisioning for the app as well.
