Configured inside Looph, with the setup steps on its integration page. Slack and Discord are on every plan, Free included; GitHub and Jira start on Starter, and Segment on Growth.

01Post each new submission into a Discord channel as it lands, so the community can pile on votes while a request is still fresh.
02Announce status moves, such as Planned, In progress and Complete, and each published changelog entry in the channel your regulars already read.
03Let people search your public boards with /feedback-search, file a request with /feedback-submit and share one with /feedback-link, without leaving the server.

Native connection

How it works

Discord is a native connection: you add Looph's bot to your server from the Integrations page, and each channel subscription picks its events and, if you like, its boards. A Send test button checks the channel before real events arrive.

A Discord channel can receive the same events as a Slack one: new posts, status changes, comments, votes, merges, vote thresholds and changelog entries. Requests filed with /feedback-submit land on your workspace's first public board, marked as coming from Discord.

Community products on Growth or Business tend to pair this with Looph's rewards engine: points, streaks and levels give Discord regulars a reason to keep contributing on the board itself rather than only in chat.

Setup

Setting up Discord

1Sign in as the workspace Owner or an Admin and open Settings, then Integrations.
2Connect Discord and authorise the Looph bot for your server; you need permission to add apps to it.
3Add a channel subscription: choose the channel, the events and, if you want, the boards.
4Press Send test to check the channel.
5Tell your community about /feedback-search, /feedback-submit and /feedback-link.
