What you can do with Make

Not a two-way connection you switch on: it runs on Looph's REST API and webhooks, which start on Starter.

01Send Looph events, such as new posts, status changes, votes, comments, merges and changelog entries, to a Make custom webhook and chain several steps in one scenario: enrich the voter, notify a channel and file a tracker card in a single run.
02Call back into Looph mid-scenario with Make's HTTP module and a Looph API key — fetch the full post when the event alone isn't enough, or create a post from a form submission.
03Page through posts, votes and changelog entries with a read-only key and copy them into a spreadsheet or warehouse for reporting.

Built on the API and webhooks

How it works

Looph has no Make app with its own modules, as it has for Zapier. Instead, Looph pushes events to Make: the Make card on Looph's Integrations page takes a Make custom webhook address and the events to send, and each event starts your scenario. Failed deliveries are retried.

Deliveries from the Make card are not signed, so treat the webhook address as a secret and keep it out of shared documents.

For calls the other way, Make's HTTP app sends requests to Looph's REST API with your key as a bearer token. Give reporting scenarios a read-only key. List endpoints are cursor-paginated, up to 100 items a page, and the workspace has one per-minute request limit that all its keys share.

1Upgrade the Looph workspace to Starter or above.
2In Make, add a Webhooks module with a custom webhook as the scenario's first step and copy its address.
3In Looph, open Settings, then Integrations, add the address to the Make card and choose the events to send.
4For calls back into Looph, create a key under Settings, then API & Webhooks, and add HTTP “Make a request” modules that send it as a bearer token.
5Use a separate read-only key for any scenario that only reads data.
