What you can do with Zapier

Not a two-way connection you switch on: it runs on Looph's REST API and webhooks, which start on Starter.

01Start a Zap the moment something happens in Looph: New Post, New Vote, New Comment, Post Status Changed, Post Merged, Post Assigned, Post Reached Vote Threshold, a tag added or removed, or Changelog Published.
02Act on Looph from any Zap: create or update a post, change its status, add a comment or a vote, add or remove a tag, assign or merge posts, or create a changelog draft.
03Look things up mid-Zap — a board, a post, a contributor, a team member, votes, status changes or a changelog entry — so later steps have the details they need.

Built on the API and webhooks

How it works

The Looph app for Zapier works against your workspace with a Looph API key, and its triggers are instant: Zapier subscribes to Looph's events rather than polling for them.

The app is not yet listed in Zapier's public app directory. Until it is, the Zapier card on Looph's Integrations page links to an invite that adds the Looph app to your Zapier account; the triggers, actions and searches are the same either way.

Posts, comments and votes created through Zapier belong to workspace members, either the person who created the API key or a member you name, never to a customer. Publishing a changelog entry stays in Looph, where a person can see who it will notify; Zapier's Create Changelog Draft action saves a draft for them.

Setup

Setting up Zapier

1Make sure the Looph workspace is on Starter, Growth or Business.
2Open Settings, then Integrations, and follow the invite link on the Zapier card to add the Looph app to Zapier.
3In Zapier, connect the Looph app with an API key created under Settings, then API & Webhooks.
4Build a Zap from a Looph trigger, or add a Looph action or search to an existing Zap.
5Run a test so Zapier can see the fields, then map them in later steps.
